Frayed or Broken Cables

A cable that shows fraying — individual strands visibly unraveling — must be replaced immediately. A broken cable under load is a serious safety hazard. We stock cables for major commercial equipment brands and complete most cable replacements in under an hour on site. If a cable has snapped, we also inspect the pulleys and shrouds for damage before installing the replacement.

Pulley Bearing Failure

Grinding or squeaking noises when pulling on a cable station are usually pulley bearing failures. Worn bearings cause the pulley to run rough, which accelerates cable wear and eventually causes cable failure. We replace pulley bearings and inspect cable routing alignment at the same time.

Weight Stack Issues

Selector pins that stick or fall out, guide rods that are bent or corroded, weight plates that crack or chip, and stack shrouds with damaged hardware — all are weight stack issues we service.
