Grinding, Squeaking, or Clunking Noise
The most common elliptical complaint. Noise during the stride cycle usually indicates worn main bearings, loose or worn roller wheels, or a stride arm bushing that needs replacement. We inspect, diagnose, and replace worn mechanical components — most noise issues are resolved in a single service call.
Resistance Not Working
Magnetic resistance systems on commercial ellipticals use an eddy current brake controlled by the console. Failure modes include resistance stuck at one level, not engaging at all, or jumping erratically. We diagnose whether the issue is the brake assembly, the motor that adjusts it, the console control, or wiring — and repair accordingly.
Stride or Ramp Issues
Variable-stride and variable-ramp ellipticals have additional actuator motors for adjusting stride length and incline. When these fail, the machine may be stuck at one setting or non-responsive to user input. We replace stride and ramp actuator motors for all major commercial brands.
Console Errors and Non-Responsive Displays
